I was born and bred in Wellington, moved overseas for many years and then returned to bring up my 2 children in NZ around family. I moved up to Northland almost 10 years ago when I was lucky to be able to retire early. I have always had a great empathy for animals so was thrilled when I was able to help the Doolittle Rescue. This is by far the most rewarding work I have done, and I am constantly amazed at how Donna coped doing this work alone for so long. There is nothing more rewarding than finding the perfect home for a dog that was dumped and left to suffer and die. Outside of the rescue my other interests are reading, gardening, embroidery, staying fit, renovating my home, and enjoying time with my two dogs, who are my family.
